The DSO many times is the front line contact for many veterans in the community. Duties include, but are not limited to: providing information, regarding the veterans claim process; assist veterans in filling out Form 21-526 Application for compensation and pension benefits; enrollment in VA healthcare; giving information for local VA healthcare facilities and Vet centers; and assisting veterans in connecting to community services and resources.
